Rediscovering the Magic of Reading
This month, I'm happy to spotlight Cassandra, a magical reader and big supporter in the Bookstagram community. Growing up, she was a frequent visitor to her local library, always leaving with more books than she could possibly read. Her reading journey was ignited by the magical world of Harry Potter, and as a teenager, she became a devoted Twihard, diving into any story featuring vampires, werewolves, or magical creatures.
However, like many of us, Cassandra found herself drifting away from her hobbies as adult responsibilities took over. As a sleep-deprived mom, finding time for herself was a challenge. But one fateful day, during a Target run, she picked up “A Court of Thorns and Roses” (ACOTAR) on a whim, following a recommendation from her sister-in-law. With her kids finally sleeping through the night, Cassandra found herself with a bit more “me time” and rediscovered her love for reading. Since then, she hasn’t looked back.
Cassandra’s journey with books has been more than just a hobby; it’s been a source of strength. As an anxiety warrior, she draws inspiration from the strong female characters in the novels she reads. These characters have provided her with courage and resilience, helping her navigate the challenges of everyday life.
Last year, Cassandra joined the bookstagram community, seeking to connect with fellow book lovers who shared her passion for incredible stories. This platform has become a treasured creative outlet for her, allowing her to share her love for books and make genuine connections with other readers and authors.
