Fourth Wing

WHOA. Okay, so this might be one of my favorite books of the year.

So many things in this book hooked me from the beginning. The suspense of the competition and other riders, the world-building and history between the humans and dragons, XADEN RIORSON, and Violet's physical journey made this a memorable read.

There were moments when I said to myself, "Oh, this is similar to Divergent," or "This reminds me of The Hunger Games," but Yarros weaves everything together so skillfully that it feels like a new experience. The story's pace was spot on, but that cliffhanger ending is so mean! I wonder if Yarros did a witch cackle when she ended the book?

What I loved:

  1. Resilient female main character

  2. DRAGONS

  3. The tension between Violet + Xaden

What a ride of emotions! Well played, @rebeccayarros.

If epic tales of dragons, survival, and enemies-to-lovers romance are your thing, this book is for you.
