The Brazen

This story returns readers to the charming town of Calamity, Montana, where Kerrigan Hale is determined to carve out a life of independence and success. As she navigates the challenges of her business empire, she finds herself at odds with the billionaire Pierce Sullivan, who threatens to upend her carefully constructed world.

I loved being back in Calamity and witnessing Kerrigan's fierce determination to pursue her dreams of self-sufficiency. Her passion for DIY projects, especially her social media venture, added a relatable and engaging element to her character. I loved her feisty attitude toward those who kept belittling her success.

What I loved:

  1. The small town setting

  2. Kerrigan's DIY passion

  3. Pierce's supportiveness

While I appreciated the dynamic between Kerrigan and Pierce and felt they were well-suited for each other, I struggled to fully connect with their relationship. The pace at which their romance developed felt rushed, which hindered my ability to become fully invested in their story. However, I did admire Pierce's willingness to stand up to Kerrigan's family. His support further empowered Kerrigan to confront her own family's challenges.

Kerrigan's family, except for her sister, was frustrating and somewhat detracted from the romance plot. Nevertheless, Perry expertly captures the complexities of family relationships and how they can influence one's pursuit of happiness and fulfillment.
