Daughter of the Siren Queen

Leveseller invites readers back onto the high seas for another swashbuckling (get ready for the pirate puns) adventure with the capable and cunning Alosa. This sequel promises action, magic, and the thrill of a treasure hunt, delivering on many fronts but leaving a few things unfulfilled.

Returning to Alosa's world was fun, and the story unfolds with plenty of exciting moments, from epic fights to surprising reveals that keep readers hooked. One of my favorite parts was getting to know the crew more. The side characters added depth to the narrative, and sailing alongside Alosa's crew feels like joining an adventurous family.

What I loved:

  1. Alosa’s journey of self-discovery

  2. The crew

  3. The action scenes (especially on the first island they stopped at 🤢)

However, the constant lack of communication between Alosa and Riden became frustrating. Their relationship dynamics could have been enriched with more open dialogue. Additionally, while the conclusion wraps up the main plot satisfactorily, I couldn't help but wish for more exploration of certain character interactions that felt rushed.

Overall, "Daughter of the Siren Queen" delivers an entertaining pirate read with a good conclusion to Alosa's story. Despite its shortcomings, fans of the genre will find much to enjoy in this action-packed sequel.
