Red Fairy & Fox

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: None

What I loved:
1. The Fox 🦊
2. The charming illustrations 🎨
3. The dual timelines ⏳

Red, a reluctant queen, finds herself whisked away to a mysterious and magical world after following a fox into a puddle during a boring ball. In this new land, she becomes a lowly farmhand, far removed from her royal life. As she navigates this strange world, she must come to terms with her destiny and the threats facing her kingdom.

"Red Fairy & Fox" is a delightful journey into a world of whimsy and magic, perfectly complemented by the cute illustrations sprinkled throughout the book. Red, our protagonist, starts off as selfish and bitter, but it's understandable given her circumstances. Her character development is compelling as she navigates her new reality, transforming from a reluctant queen into a hero who embraces her destiny. The narrative beautifully balances Red's internal struggles with the external threats to her kingdom, creating a captivating read from start to finish.

The Fox and Bartholomew are standout characters, bringing warmth and humor to the story. Their willingness to help Red, despite her initial attitude, adds depth to their characters and highlights themes of friendship and loyalty. The Fox, with his snide remarks and cleverness, quickly became a favorite of mine.

Overall, if you love coming-of-age stories with a touch of magic, then you will adore this book.
