What I loved:
1. Gwyn and Wells 💕
2. The baby witches ✨
3. The rivalry 🥊
Gwyn was one of my favorite characters in The Ex Hex, so getting to dive into her story with Wells was an absolute delight! Their dynamic was perfection—Gwyn’s humor paired with Wells’ broody seriousness created the ultimate opposites-attract vibe. Add in their competing shops, and you’ve got a recipe for rivalry, sparks, and a lot of laughs.
The baby witches stole my heart. They were the perfect mix of helpful and hilariously troublesome, adding a sweet and chaotic charm to the story. The mystery element kept me engaged, although Wells’ lack of communication at a key moment was a tad frustrating. Thankfully, it didn’t last long, and their chemistry pulled me right back in.
I found this installment even more engaging than the first book because Gwyn and Wells were so easy to root for. Their banter, combined with the magical Halloween vibes, made this a cozy, fun read that left me wanting more from this magical little town.
