The Ex Hex

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

What I loved:
1. The Halloween vibes 🎃
2. Vivi’s family 🪄
3. The cursed town chaos 🌪️

I'm jumping back to some spooky reads I did in October, but let's be honest, my soul lives for the spooky season all year long. Plus, I'm trying out a blend between my regular way of reviewing and condensing. Let me know what you think!

The Ex Hex is the perfect cozy read for the autumn season, blending witchy magic, second-chance romance, and a Halloween setting that feels straight out of a festive movie. Graves Glen and its magical college provided a charming backdrop, and I especially loved Vivienne's quirky family dynamics.

I’m not the biggest fan of second-chance romances, so it took me a little longer to fully invest in Vivi and Rhys. That said, their chemistry was undeniable, and their shared history added layers to their interactions—even if the miscommunication trope behind their original falling out made me roll my eyes a bit. But what really kept me hooked was the curse wreaking havoc on the town, from murderous wind-up toys to a talking cat.

While the magical world-building felt a bit light, it serves as a nice introduction to the series, leaving plenty of room for expansion in future books. Overall, this was a fun, lighthearted read that got me in the Halloween spirit. Perfect for fans of magical chaos and festive romance!
