Empire of Storms

'Empire of Storms' is the fifth installment in @sarahjmaas' 'Throne of Glass' series, and it delivers on ALL the emotions! With a complex combination of characters and a plot that weaves through various perspectives, this book is nothing short of a masterpiece.

The multiple POVs provide a panoramic view of the unfolding events, offering glimpses into the minds of beloved characters. Elide and Lorcan's dynamic brings a unique perspective to the narrative, while Aelin and Rowan's connection continues to be a focal point. Lysandra's shape-shifting abilities are AMAZING, and Manon further proves why she is my favorite.

What I loved:

  1. Elide and Lorcan's dynamic

  2. Aelin and Rowan (always)

  3. Lysandra's shape-shifting prowess

(Bonus) Manon's loyalty to the Thirteen

Aelin is a tricky genius, and I'm so happy I did the tandem read so I can immediately jump to Kingdom of Ash. For those who had to endure the agonizing wait after that finale, and even after Tower of Dawn, you are true warriors. I can't wait to jump into the final book in this series, even though I'm also sad that it is coming to an end.

'Empire of Storms' is a beautiful installment that not only advances the overarching narrative but also deepens the emotional connection we as readers have with the characters. Maas is a storytelling master!
