The Booty and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Since both of these stories were short, I figured I would put together short reviews for them both. Here we go!

💘 “The Booty” by Devney Perry
Reaction: Chapter 2
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
This was a cute novella that followed Lola Jennings who finds herself attracted to Aiden Archer, the lawyer representing her friend's soon to hopefully be ex-husband. I loved the beginning of this story with the opening Jeans dance contest and the tension between Lola and Aiden. However, I was not a fan of Riley, who was the husband of the Lola's friend, Joann. He didn't seem mature and said something that was super frustrating to me. Without giving much away he says, "It'll happen when the time is right." Riley, my dude. It may never happen and that is okay. Support your wife and stop putting pressure on your marriage! (*steps off soap box)
What I liked most:
- The contest 👖

🎃 “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving
Reaction: The Ending
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Spice: None
Okay, I have watched the movie Sleepy Hollow many times so I thought the short story it is based on would be perfect for the spooky time of year. The atmosphere was on point, but the characters were hard to connect with. None of them are likable, even Ichabod Crane. I was left at the end feeling meh about the whole story. I will stick to the movie version for sure.
What I liked most:
- The atmosphere 👻
