The Brawl
Ronan Thatcher moves to Montana and is instantly captivated by Larke Hale, but she's sworn off men. When a local teenager hires Ronan to sue Larke over a low grade, he sees the lawsuit as the perfect opportunity to catch her attention, leading to a whirlwind of tension, attraction, and personal growth.
I’m a sucker for a good single-parent trope, and this book did not disappoint! I was so excited to dive into Larke’s story after meeting her in the previous books, and she delivered in every way. Tough, determined, and fiercely protective of her daughter, Larke is a force to be reckoned with.
Ronan, with his cocky attitude, made for a fun counterpart as the MMC. Watching him evolve and figure out his role in Larke and her daughter’s lives added depth to his character. His journey felt authentic, which made me root for them as a couple.
What I loved:
Larke + Ronan
Wren
Single-parent dynamic
The subplot with Ember suing Larke over a low grade had frustrating moments, but a certain reveal added layers to Ember’s story and gave the situation more heart. As always, Perry knows how to craft a story that keeps you hooked until the very end.
If you love strong characters and a well-done single-parent romance, this one is a great pick!
